An Academy of Tribes service

Praxis

Consulting & coaching

Every team has a cognitive topology. How would revealing yours change things?

First: a conversation

Thirty minutes with the practitioner. No deck, no pitch.

Praxis (πρᾶξις: "action informed by theory") is the Academy's consulting practice: we map how your team thinks and connects, across dimensions titles don't show. We uncover the hidden dynamics: where potential leaks into friction.

Praxis Diagnostic

days, not months

See the map.

Your team completes the instruments, and the mathematics draws what no org chart can: the team's actual cognitive topological shape. Thinking patterns and how they cluster, where and how information flows, where the blind spots are.

You leave with: a first map of your team's cognitive topology, a reading you can act on. And, usually, a conversation topic the team will appreciate.

Praxis Pilot

six weeks

See it work.

The map is where the work begins. Over six weeks, we read and contemplate it with you and your team, uncover what it points at, and test it against the territory: one intervention cycle, aimed where the map says it matters most.

You leave with: a team that has seen its map and worked with it once, and a clear sense of the work that's waiting: work the team can carry alone, or share with us.

Praxis Pilot Extended

sixteen weeks

Make it stick.

Everything the Pilot does, practiced until it is owned. We widen the circle beyond the leadership room: campfire sessions where the team sits with its own map, dialogos (διάλογος: "through the word") and circling, structured practices for saying what the map can only point at.

Extended ends with closure: a last campfire, a handover. But it is not an ending. Some teams continue into Advisory. Some join the Tribes.

You leave with: a team practiced in reading its own map, and a team that knows how to gather around its own fire.

Praxis Advisory

ongoing, case by case

Stay with it.

The long conversation. For teams past the engagement arc who want a practitioner who already knows their terrain: we sit with you, reread the map as the team changes, and think alongside you when the decisions are heavy. Shaped case by case.

Praxis Enterprise

custom scope

For organizations rather than single teams: multiple teams, multiple maps, the method carried across a whole structure. Praxis Enterprise is scoped from a conversation and built as its own agreement, with the practitioners it needs.

Begins the way everything here begins: with a conversation.

What is a cognitive topology?

Topology (from τόπος: "place") is the mathematics of shape: not where things sit, but how they connect. A team's cognitive topology is its shape in that sense. How ways of thinking cluster, where they link, where they leave gaps. No org chart shows it, but you work inside it every day.

What does it cost?

Each engagement is priced after the first conversation. What varies is the scope: every engagement is tailor-made, and you will have the number before you say yes to anything.

How big does the team need to be?

Big enough to have structure. Topology starts to speak at around five people, and teams between five and twelve are where the maps say the most. If you're unsure, that's a conversation question.

Is this personality testing?

The instruments include validated psychometrics, and the product is not a label for anyone. It is a map of the team: how the minds you already have cluster, connect, and cover for one another. No types. No boxes.

What happens to our data?

Individual results belong to the individuals who produced them; the team sees structure, not each other's private scores. Consent is explicit, the data handling is GDPR-serious, and the details are in plain language in our privacy policy.

What if the map shows nothing surprising?

Then you'll know your team as well as you thought you did, which is worth knowing. It will have cost you days, not months.
